Auto Mechanic
Position Summary ??

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Auto Mechanic to join our team.

?? Pay starting at $35+ per hour, with higher pay available depending on experience

This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles, company vehicles, light-duty trucks, and fleet equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability, takes pride in quality repairs, and can work efficiently in a busy shop environment.

We are looking for someone who can handle general automotive repair, inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical issues, drivability concerns, and other common vehicle repairs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities ??

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain cars, light-duty trucks, SUVs, and company vehicles.
• Perform general automotive repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, engine repairs, cooling systems, exhaust, belts, hoses, batteries, and fluid services.
• Diagnose check engine lights, drivability issues, electrical problems, and mechanical concerns.
• Perform vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs.
• Complete oil changes, tire services, alignments, and preventive maintenance as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, lifts, and shop equipment safely.
• Communicate repair needs, parts requirements, and job status with management.
• Perform repairs correctly, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures when working around vehicles, tools, chemicals, and shop equipment.
• Assist with company fleet maintenance when needed.

Qualifications ??

• Automotive repair experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Experience with brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, engine repair, and general maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must have your own basic tools.
• Ability to safely operate and move vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and working around vehicles.
• Must be dependable, professional, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills ??

• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Alignment experience is a plus.
• Light-duty diesel experience is a plus.
• Experience with diagnostic scan tools and repair software.
• Experience working in a busy independent repair shop or fleet environment.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and drivability issues efficiently.
